Janice has been a member of My eCoach since 2004.  Over the years she has had many different jobs and used My eCoach in different ways. In her own words: "My eCoach has been an important resource for me in the various things that I have done.  It has also been a place to make some long term friends that I don’t know in person, but only online. In 2001 I attended the NECC conference in San Diego. On the last day I was on the elevator of my hotel when I glanced at the name tag of the other person. It said Barbara Bray, Oakland!!  I knew her from an online discussion. It was so exciting to meet her in person. We also worked together at eMINTS National Center in Missouri.

With my eCoach all of the lesson plans and lists of links that I have used have been saved in one place with the original dates on them. I can go to the e-library and search for my name and see a list of all I have created and pictures that I uploaded. I used My eCoach a great deal when I worked at Barton Creek Elementary School for four years, from 2007 to 2011. It was a great help to find the Halloween sites that I had created the year before and just update it for the new year rather than starting all over.

Today I am inventing a job for myself. I am the sole proprietor of "I’m not a Geek.com" I work with adults, mostly from age 40-80 who have missed out on the technology wave and want to learn before they cannot pay bills anymore the old way. I love it. I will have to think of ways to use My eCoach with these people also!!

Thank you, Janice, for all your years spent in educating both the young and the old!

"My eCoach has given the Washington State Technology for Learning Disabilities (TLD) Project a "pulse" and is in constant use, changing all the time. We are so excited about this feeling of new life. In addition, My eCoach has made the overall management of the grant much easier."
