  Cynthia Sistek-Chandler, ED D

  Assistant Professor

  National University

  Certified eCoach

Cynthia has been a My eCoach member since 2006. She has been actively engaged in the online teaching community since 2000 for higher education and k-12. She has over 50 projects in My eCoach which she uses for teaching and for presentations at conferences. From 2007 through 2012, she worked with almost 500 School Administrators in AB 430 Training. As part of their training, administrators engaged in My eCoach by creating blogs for archiving their practicum evidence and by constructing content for their professional practice. While other county offices used Moodle and web services, My eCoach provided a single sign-on portal for all tools. Cynthia has used My eCoach as a portal for her Masters students from National University, building projects with the Universal Builder.

Cynthia: “I love the ease of use and the connection to all of the tools. I particularly like how I can be a Coach/Manager and apply the coaching and mentoring model (through comments and screen sharing) as I work collaboratively with my Master’s students. My students experience instant success as they build a web-presence.”

Roxanne Clement

"My eCoach provides me with lots of great tools which I can use as part of my new teacher training program. Information can be found all in one place and accessed from anywhere! Using our Team Page, I quickly post program updates. With the Universal Builder, I've created a web site for everyone's common questions. I've learned a great deal about my teachers and their practice through our Forum, and my teachers have been able to network and share their terrific teaching ideas. My team coaches and I are able to provide timely feedback for our new teachers' learning plans--no more NCR forms!

My eCoach provides increased opportunities for communication, quick access to customized online resources, and the ability to collect program data and improve accountability."
