Pinellas County, FL is required to use Moodle. This is a tool that is primarily meant for the students as a teaching tool, and a way to gather grades. Ultimately, these results are intended to transfer into our on-line grading system (Portal). I have taken the on-line training provided to do this; however, I do not have the time in the day or the confidence to try this without having a core group of teachers to reflect and share results with. At this point, the combination of Moodle and Portal are so new that there is a minimal amount of teachers that can & do use Moodle/Portal effectively. My eCoach provides this support system for me. Heather Rudolph 7th Grade Teacher Pinellas County Schools, Florida	I am in the process of converting my moodle and portal webpages that I use in Pinellas County to my eCoach websites. I have decided to break my websites up into units instead of courses, because I keep getting switched around from various grade levels and content areas (Reading vs. Language Arts) - But I don’t want to lose my lessons. For example I currently teach 7th grade reading and we do a unit on Egypt, but two years ago I taught 6th grade and we also touched on Egypt. I want my resources to be middle school level and fluid enough for me to adapt to whatever grade I’m teaching. It will take some time, but I think it will help out in the long run. I have made a whole bunch of things online and then forgotten where they are and sometimes even that they exist. The CADRE has brought art, music, dance, drama and light to a very difficult academic community. The Cadre is the only wonderful experience happening at 107th street school - this program needs to be continually funded. As well as encouraging students to find new areas of expertise, the teachers participate and learn about programs new to them as well.
