Activity Description

There are several career opportunities available to you. How do education, skills and salary factor into your choice of careers?




Activity Directions

1. Choose a possible career.

2. Using the given websites, research your chosen career, focusing on the amount of education needed, the skills needed, and the salary to be earned.

3. Take notes as you research.

4. Organize your notes using Inspiration.

5. Using your Inspiration diagram as a graphic organizer, write a rough draft of your narrative essay.

6. Type your rough draft using Microsoft Word and save in your folder.

7. Using the comments on the review toolbar, your neighbors will edit and proofread your rough draft.

8. Revise your rough draft into a final draft, taking your neighbor's comments into account.

9. Save your final draft in your folder.

10. With teacher's permission, print your essay and turn it in.

11. MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS ON IT!
