Activity Description

In this activity you will work in a group of three or four. We will use the Jigsaw technique to create your Podcast. One person will leave the group and learn how to work the Audacity software. The other members of the group will create a script for the Podcast and select intro, exit, and background music.

Activity Directions

1. Select who will be the "techy" of the group. The "techy" needs to download the software Audacity from the Podcast WRL.

2. If you are the script writer download the SMART Ideas Web "Creating a Script". Use this web for Podcast ideas, but feel free to create your own topics. Take a few minutes to select your topic and brainstorm your ideas. Then set to work scripting out what you will say on your Podcast.

3. After your script is written, go to the "Audio Resources" section of the Podcast WRL. Select one audio source and download it to your computer desktop.

4. Once the Techy returns, set to work creating your Podcast.

5. Be prepared to share your work with the group.
