LiveMocha is an exciting e-learning Web 2.0 online tool for learning a new foreign language. Centering around a social network, LiveMocha lets people help other users for the purpose of learning a new language. By providing this network alongside a set of tools that have proven useful for teaching new languages, Livemocha gives you multiple ways in which to learn whatever language you’d like. Livemocha is a first of its kind web based language learning solution integrating online instructional content with a global community of language learners and is FREE for the beginning and intermediate levels. LiveMocha enables users to help each other with video chat tools and structured conversation exercises, and incentivizes them with competitions and a language buddy system for encouragement. Livemocha is available today with support for six popular languages – English, Spanish, French, Hindi, German, and Mandarin Chinese. Key elements of Livemocha’s learning approach include: (1) Dynamic lesson content, (2) Global community, and (3) Motivational system.
