Summary
The Santa Clara Valley has a unique location with nearby bays, creeks and oceans. The Pacific Ocean/Monterey Bay ecosystem, the San Francisco Bay estuary and the fresh water creeks and lakes are distinctive ecosystems in our area. Students in three classes will develop a web site with all three ecosystems. Individual and group research will begin with internet sources and field trips to the ecosystems will give students a chance to develop first hand observations and experiments.

Rationale
Students need to be aware of the effect man has on the environment and then realize how their individual actions affect our world.
