San Francisco Institute For Innovative Teaching of Chinese SF Institute for Innovative Teaching of Chinese, funded by federal government, is a two-week summer intensive teacher training program designed to prepare teachers of Chinese to develop and implement research-based curriculum and instruction with focuses on:
Participants will meet and learn from renowned national and international scholars, and classroom teachers. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their own curriculum and lesson plans from the knowledge learned, and apply them in the teaching practicum. Participant: The Institute is open to current K-12 teachers of Mandarin Chinese in any teaching institution. Venue: Burk Hall 173, College Education, San Francisco State University Date June 2009, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:30pm Cost: A $50 deposit check* will be required upon acceptance to hold the seat. The check will be returned to you after program completion with the $300 stipend award. One course credit (3 units) will be available. Instructional materials, refreshment and lunch will be provided.
