How do ecosystems differ from one another?
Students from grades 3, 7, and 10 learned about the different habitats in the world for the Habitats Project. Each grade level were put into teams where each team learned about different habitats and ecosystems. Each grade level communicated with their groups via blogs, webcams, and visits to each others’ schools.







Students participated in activities that included discovering vocabulary via a PowerPoint presentation, lab zone determining which soil grass seeds grow best, Internet safety, Ecosystem in a bottle where they created their own ecosystems, create a habitat, and Interactive websites: Become a Senior Biologist, Build a Prairie, and Are you an Ecologist?

Students took a school field trip exploring the different levels of a habitat at Saw Grass Lake Park.
