Technology Classes for EducatorsSteven Caringella, instructorThese courses show teachers how to use the Internet to enhance instruction. I emphasize the use of Web 2.0 tools that enable educators and students to create, publish, communicate, and collaborate in online environments. The classes are designed for K-14 educators who are interested in upgrading their technology skills, to enhance their teaching and curriculum, as well as enhance learning by helping students become successful twenty-first century learners. ![]() These classes are also an excellent opportunity for district technology leaders and support providers interested in providing teachers with professional development opportunities. These courses are delivered at the Krause Center for Innovation but can also be offered on-site at any school district. Each class is just one Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.--at the Krause Center for Innovation at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. Classes are hands-on, relevant, and practical. They are also inexpensive: $29 Foothill registration fee plus $13 per unit. To see a schedule of classes, click on the current quarter link above. Overall, one of the best workshops I’ve attended in a long time. Thank you. -Participant, Technology in the World Language Classroom, January 2009 |
