Discovery Learning is an instructional model based on cognitive views of learning and constructivist principles. In Bruner’s model, students are encouraged to learn on their own through action and experience. The teacher’s role is to ensure that learning activiities arouse children’s curiosity, minimize the risk of failure, and are relevant to the student.
