Discovery Learning is an instructional model based on cognitive views of learning and constructivist principles. In Brunerís model, students are encouraged to learn on their own through action and experience. The teacherís role is to ensure that learning activiities arouse childrenís curiosity, minimize the risk of failure, and are relevant to the student.
