Some of my recent projects include: Endangered Animals, Earth Day, Hour of Code, Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash, Penguins, International Dot Day, Spring bookFair 2015, among others. All of my projects launch from our Virtual Learning Commons Homepage you can see by clicking here.
I know that all children can be successful learners if we connect with them through their interests, curiosity, and learning modalities if we trigger their motivation to learn by making their learning experiences meaningful. Technology provides powerful tools to access, organize, synthesize, and share information; essentia skillsl for success in today’s global society. Online communities provide a place to share ideas, collaborate, and learn together.
I live in a small island city in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the neighborhood where I teach and get to watch my students as they grow.
Bay Farm School is a neighborhood K-8 school with a current population of approximately 620 students. We have a very supportive parent community and together we form a community of readers and learners. We are currently in our 23rd year and are implementing an Innovative Proposal for 21st Century Learning, a 3 year plan to address our community’s needs and interests.
