How can we become better readers?
Group Objectives
The objective of reading groups is to improve comprehension through the process of talking. As students talk through the story they are able to learn from their fellow students as well as pick up or express things that were confusing to them while reading.

Students will be required to manage time effectively to:
  • Complete assigned reading, 50 - 80 pages a week
  • Answer one page writing assignment per week
  • Be able to discuss; questions, comments, predictions, inferences, and vocabulary found in text
  • Come to class prepared to discuss in detail showing understanding of what was read
