I’m a Teacher Librarian/Media Center Specialist and my focus is developing interactive student content and collaborative intelligence. I also love working with teachers to develop projects, web pages, learning links, etc. to empower student learning 24/7. My Philosophy
I know that all children can be successful learners if we connect with them through their interests and learning modalities, and if we trigger their motivation to learn by making their learning activities meaningful. Technology provides powerful tools to access and utilize information, essential for success in today’s global society. Online communities provide a place to share ideas, collaborate, and learn together.

My Community
I live with my family in a small island city in the San Francisco Bay Area. I live in the neighborhood where I teach and get to watch my students as they grow.

My Environment

Bay Farm School is a neighborhood school with a current population of approximately 500 students. We have a very supportive parent community and together we form a schoolwide community of readers and learners. We are currently in our 20th year and are  implementing an Innovative Proposal for 21st Century Learning, a 5 year plan to address our community’s needs and interests.

My Roles and Responsibilities

I am Bay Farm School's Teacher Librarian and technology coordinator. I teach K-6 students library, technology, and 21st Century Learning skills. I also work with teachers and parents. I am a lead trainer for our district/school website program and I help teachers learn how to utilize webtools to improve instruction.
