| My Marketing Text I have created this profile to collaborate with my team members in Technology Foundations 600A at National University and as a future professional resource in my teaching career.

| My Philosophy I believe that every child can learn. Despite any social, emotional, economical, physical and/or psychological problems the student might be experiencing, I strive everyday to have the students in my class leave school feeling hopeful and successful. | |||||||||
| My Community The last 8 years I have taught First Grade at Ross Elementary in the San Diego Unified School District. Before that I worked for 5 years as a primary grade teacher at Chollas Elementary. Both school communities are rich in culture and I have enjoyed using ESL strategies as well as technology to help my learners. | |||||||||
| My Environment The school I currently teach at, Ross Elementary, has approximately 300 students. Our school is small and we have a lot of parent and community involvement. This year with the help of a grant we are able to continue class size reduction in all the primary grades, with the max being 18 students. | |||||||||
| My Roles and Responsibilities I feel that my role as a first grade teacher, is not only to teach reading and math, but to help the children develop a love of learning. Their early years in school and the attitudes and feelings they develop are so crucial in their future academic success. | |||||||||

| My Philosophy Being part of a "community of practice", teachers, administrators, students, anyone can collaborate and share and learn from each other. I have met good teachers around the country who feel isolated and want to connect with others like themselves. I created My eCoach® to have an online safe environment that builds communities through coaching and mentoring programs. I wanted to harness the power of the Internet to make a learning community where everyone shares ideas and resources and helps each other so they do not reinvent the wheel over and over again. My eCoach complements course management systems, social networks, and Web 2.0 tools. I wanted an online environment that provided access to all the tools in one place and allowed users to use any other tools and resources within that environment. | ||||
| My Community The San Francisco bay area is a very diverse community with a exciting mixture of ethnic groups, delicious eateries, and lots of things to do. We have the best weather and climate and from the East Bay we have the best view of the city. My eCoach® offers anyone an online community where learning and sharing can happen at anytime from anywhere. | ||||
| My Environment The My eCoach environment changes often where groups start their own communities for their school, district, online course, cancer support group, book club, almost anything. | ||||
| My Roles and Responsibilities My role is to provide the infrastruture, tools and support for the eCoaches. | ||||
