How will you manage your online presence?
Social Networking

Social Network Use:
-I will always think before I post.
-I will create a profile that is true and that I can be proud of.
-I will set my profile to be private and protect my personal information.
-I will not meet anyone face to face I have met online without parent permission.
-I will monitor my responses and only post appropriately.
-I will report any/all uncomfortable or inappropriate postings I view.

5 Social Media Rules

Staying Social Network Safe:

  • Online Code of Conduct. If you wouldn't say something to someone's face, you shouldn't text it, IM it, or post it.
  • Use social networks' privacy settings so only your close friends and family members can see your stuff.
  • Never send pictures to strangers or view pictures that strangers send to them. Never send inappropriate pictures to others.
  • Even messages and photos that promise to self-delete can be saved and shared by others.
  • Keep passwords private.
  • People aren't necessarily who they say they are online.
