Summary After studying the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution, students will create a short Power Point presentation where the student will illustrate one of the provisions of the Bill of Rights in a limerick. The student will then explain how this provision applies to individuals today.
Rationale The preservation of constitutional rights is a very hot topic in the news. With the advent of the Patriot Act and other governmental policies, it's critically important that students understand what their constitutional rights are, so they can determine whether those rights are being threatened.
