Summary
To fulfill the media requirement for Language Arts, students will complete an advertising unit in which they study advertising techniques, create a fictious product or service, and advertise it in four forms, using computer literacy skills: magazine layout, brochure, radio spot, and television commercial.

Rationale
Students in seventh grade language arts are required to learn about media and using equipment like digital cameras, videocameras, Microsoft Office, and iMovie facilitates this process. My students need to learn to work together in a constructivist environment to accomplish a goal they set themselves. Learning about advertising techniques will make them better consumers.
