Prior Knowledge About Water In Ancient Civilizations

Instructional Time: 1 hour a day for 2 days

Process:
Teacher will brainstorm with students what they already know about Ancient India. Building on what we have learned about the importance of water and how it affected other ancient civilizations, as a class we will use the KWHL Strategy template in Inspiration to explore the influence of water on Ancient India Civilization.
The teacher will lead the class in this activity by asking the following questions:
What do you know and what do you want to know?
As students answer the questions, the teacher will type in what they already know and what they want to know onto the Inspiration template for KWHL.
Students will complete their own KWHL worksheet as part of a study guide and assessment packet.
