How does a plant grow?
Where do plants come from?
We have learned that seeds can be found in all sorts of places.  Today you are going to look at some different types of seeds.

For your first activity you will look at  different types of seeds around the classroom.  The different seeds you will find are: Coconut, tomato, lima bean, sunflower, and a peanut.

Use your science journal and choose one seed. Make a picture of it in your journal and describe what type of plant it comes from.

Once you have finished writing about your seed in your science journal you will plant a seed.  Measure how tall the seedling is and how much water you gave it.  We will continue to measure our seedlings for the next two weeks and will graph the results.  Please use the worksheets attached.
