I would like my students to understand their grade level content. What better way than for them to become the teacher? Students in my fourth grade class will become experts about upcoming units in our Houghton Mifflin reading program by authoring tutorials that are created in PowerPoint, and podcasts.
Students will be placed in small "expert" groups to receive an overview of material for the next story in our unit. They will take this information and create a teaching tool using PowerPoint, podcasting, providing a useful tool for fellow classmates to access whole class and individually.
