Purpose in Learning Communities
Why is it important for your community?
New Teacher Program
East Bay BTSA set up two communities for their Support Providers and participating teachers. The Program Coordinators work together to design and regularly update the team pages with news, announcements, files, links to projects, ePortfolios, and Digital Drop boxes. Communities for mentoring new teachers need to be in a private space to protect confidentiality. Only the teachers and Support Providers have access so information, discussions, mentoring feedback, IIPs, and materials are confidential.

The PTs and SPs have access to all of the materials from the team page. All of the BTSA forms were digitized and uploaded.

Program Coordinators and Technology department created resources that support and enhance the curriculum.

Participating teachers have the option to create ePortfolios and upload all of their completed forms to their own Digital Drop Box.

How do you support your new teachers? Do you have an online community for your mentoring program?
