The mission of the ESOL department is to prepare students for a life in a global society by developing their abilities to communicate, collaborate, access information and use higher thinking skills in order to solve problems, make appropriate decisions and become life-long learners.
- To provide instruction that satisfies cultural as well as language needs.
- To promote an appreciation of different cultures and their contributions to our society.
- To help students quickly attain English language skills so they can succeed in all of their classes.
Currently, McMullen Booth Elementary has 138 ESOL students. These students’ first language consists of : Spanish, Albanian, Tagalog, Serbian, Vietnamese, Filipino, Mandarin, Polish, and Gujarati.
