What makes music expressive?
Prior knowledge about topic:
  • Students have already rehearsed the piece and have learned about melody.
In Class Activities:
  • Students will analyze their music and mark where they have the melody and accompaniment.
  • Students will then mark in where other have the melody and accompaniment.
  • Students will play through the piece melody only, then accompany only.
  • Students will explain the role difference between melody and accompaniment.
