Regions of the U.S.A

We participated in Postcard Geography exchanging traditional and electronic postcards with schools across the U.S. We mailed just under 300 postcards and received 110 postcards.

Now that the exchange period has ended, we are ready to get to work learning even more about the United States.

Our goals are to explore the following:

  • The 5 regions of the U.S.
  • State capitals
  • State abbreviations
  • State facts - such as when did it become part of the U.S.
  • Plan a family trip to 3 states in a selected region.
  • State flags
  • At least two historical figures from each state, one male and one female
