Mrs. Riek's 2009-2010 Class


2009-2010 is going to be a totally awesome year in Mrs. Riek's Third Grade Classroom. The plan is for every child in my class to feel cared for, connected to the lesson and class, capable of learning and a contributing member to our classroom community. I strive to build a safe environment where the children feel comfortable and successful. Children are expected to be responsible for their actions. Classroom experiences are developmentally appropriate. Children are always actively involved in their learning. Meeting children and their individual needs is something I strongly believe in.

Communication with parents is vitally important to the success of your child in school. Through newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, and written correspondence in planners parents are able to reach me at any time. Many times throughout the year I share the data collected on how much the class has achieved and learned. Parent-teacher conferences are held in the fall or before winter break.
