How Flowers Grow
Teaching your Preschooler about Flowers, stage by stage
Taking Care of Your Flowers
If cared for correctly, your seeds and seedlings will grow to become beautiful flowers after several weeks. You will want to follow the instructions on the seed packet for recommended lighting and will continue to water your flower(s) each day. If you do not have a seed packet, you can always go to your local nursery for information or visit general gardening websites like Garden.org, GardenGuides.com, or BackyardGardening.com.

Your flower may get pollinated and go to seed. If the seeds are not a sterile variety, you can then collect the seeds, dry and store them, and repeat the sowing process next year.

By this time, you and your child will have watched the entire life cycle of the flower.
