| My Marketing Text As a student, I have an AS in Communications, an AS in Multimedia, and a BA in Digital Entertainment & Interactive Arts. My current educational plan is to obtain a MS in Educational & Instructional Technology. As a Instructional Assistant-Learning Resources working for the San Diego Mesa College Center for Independent Learning, I pay my bills. I have worked for the Mesa College ILC since October 1996. | |||||||||
| My Philosophy In order to better support the faculty, staff, and students, at my college through the available technologies it’s important to understand the process of educating people. Communicating ideas and concepts to people is more than just conveying subject matter through books. Educating others is matter of engaging peoples senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, & mind; because people absorb information in different ways. | |||||||||
| My Environment The San Diego Mesa Colllege Center for Independent Learning is a place where students can work independently on out-of-class assignments. There are more than 140 computers with Internet Access and printing services available to students in order to support their instructional needs. As an staff member of the Help Desk in the CIL I provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students. This brings me into contact with dozens of people daily with many different backgrounds and levels of education. | |||||||||
