To provide instructional
opportunities for gifted and talented students to acquire self-generating,
problem-solving thinking skills and understanding at advanced levels
commensurate with their needs and abilities.
To continue to identify
GATE students, including those from diverse cultures, ethnic, linguistic,
and socio-economic backgrounds.
To provide guidance and
support to students so that they develop realistic, healthy self-concepts,
increase their sensitivity and ethical responsibility to others, and
prepare for postsecondary educational opportunities and/or careers.
To provide research-based
best practices professional development.
To increase parent
participation in all facets of the GATE program.
To implement an accountability system that will ensure
continuous program improvement.
