In the 21st Century, technology is changing at such a rapid pace, that it is forcing education to examine how we are successfully preparing students for the jobs of the future. To thrive in the global, digital world we live in, students today need to acquire diverse skill sets. It is no longer sufficient enough for students to memorize large chunks of information, rather, they must be able to distill large volumes of information, from a variety of sources and mediums, and synthesize the value of that data. To be successful, today's students need an educational experience that promotes digital-age literacy, inventive thinking and effective communication.  |
