Activity 2: Researching Political Parties

Use the following resources to research three major political parties in the United States, identify the major themes of each party, and explain the views of each party in education, health care, and employment.

  1. Create a chart to list the views of each party in education, health care, and employment.
  2. Identify an overall theme for each party.
  3. Explain how their stands on education, health care, and employment have translated into "Public Policy" in each category.
  4. Answer the question, "What policies have affected my school, my family, and my community?"
