In recent years, schools have invested heavily in putting technology—especially computers and
their associated infrastructure—in the hands of students, teachers, and administrators. Many people involved in education, from legislators to teachers to parents, as well as the general public, want to know what technology exists in schools and how that technology is being used.

The East Bay School for Boys is a school that is in its first year.  The vision and mission of the school have both incorporate aspects of technology as focal points of the school.  In the creation of a technology plan a preliminary technology needs assessment were created based on a technology inventory of the school.  These first steps are the beginning process of creating a technology plan for the school.
