Am I meeting the expectations that are written out for me?
2.1b How do I establish classroom routines?

  • The teacher establishes and reviews expectations regarding rules and procedures and monitors the extent to which students exhibit expected behavior.

At the beginning of the year students participate in what a productive classroom should look like, sound like, and act like to be successful. They inturn create the expectations of our classroom. I then review the Schoolwide Discipline Plan of consequences that happen for not following the expectations. We practice what we created. I monitor students on a created sheet that holds for accountability each day. Students are then highlighted if they do not follow the expectations. This is aligned with the schoolwide discipline plan. Those that do follow the expectations are rewarded by points and classroom store money.
