Causes of the American Revolution
What were some factors that divided the American Colonies and Great Britain?

The American Revolution was a time in history where the citizens of American Colonies seized an opportunity to break the chains of "taxation without representation" and overcome tremendous adversity to become it’s own separate nation. How did it come to this? What started the tension between Great Britain and the colony? We will examine the reasons through two projects and allow each student the opportunity to learn about different taxes and laws passed on the colonies.

Each student of Mr. Smith’s 10th Grade U.S. History Class will participate in this project. The main concept here is to utilize 21st Century Skills.

Some of the 21st Century Skills that are accommodated in this project are:

-Innovation

-Creativity

-Collaboration

-Critical Thinking
