My Philosophy

The learning environment that embraces the whole child meets the essential human needs to be understood, to be in control, to belong, and to reach one’s potential.  When educators effectively implement technology in practice, they augment their ability to meet the unique needs of their students. We are fortunate to have so many tools available to assist in this mission.

My Roles and Responsibilities

My role as a designer of e-Safety curriculum and digital citizenship instruction is essential in the 21st century. Teaching kids about the dangers and pitfalls associated with the Internet is not enough. In order to make responsible decisions, students must not only acquire knowledge, but make sense of their world. Guiding students toward foundational values and ethics is a challenging responsibility, yet it is at the core of the highest level of thinking: evaluation. I do not teach directly, but my role is to equip students, teachers, the parents, and administrators with the tools they need to create a safe and sophisticated learning environment. My responsibility is to inspire and support the educational community.
