For example, Social Studies standards in elementary school explain that students need to know about famous landmarks of the United States. One of the most famous landmarks is the Statue of Liberty. After reading about it in the textbook and looking at two-dimensional photographs of the landmark, teachers could search for a YouTube video to supplement the learning. Students will have the chance to understand how big the statue really is and learn some interesting facts they did not know about before.
