"A lesson is like a swiftly flowing river. When you’re teaching, you must make judgments instantly. When you do a research lesson, your colleagues write down your words and the students’ words. Your real profile as a teacher is revealed to you for the first time.’’
A Japanese teacher’s reflection on lesson study
Lesson study provides teachers opportunities to connect with other teachers who have similar circumstances and learning goals. Teachers have limited time and most of the time work in isolation with little opportunities for collaboration. Using forums, blogs, chat rooms, message center, lesson builders, and other collaborative tools, teachers can share and research lessons from anywhere at anytime with anyone else in the community.
