Room 8 Families,

Welcome to Owl Week in room 8!  We will be doing all things 'owl' this week.  In class we will read about owls, write about owls, draw owls, and study all we can about them, too. At home, your homework for the week is all on this webpage.  Thank you for logging on already!

I would like your 1st grader to explore this site with your supervision.  There will be a paper assignment that must be turned in on Friday (see below).  There is also a 'scholar challenge' included on the website that your child may do if he or she pleases (see below). I hope you enjoy learning about owls alongside your 1st grader.

Required Homework

Use the information you learned on this site, along with your learning in class, to build a tree map.  This must be turned in Friday.  We will use these tree maps to write informational  texts in class.

Scholar Challenge HW

Bring in your answer to the scholar challenge by Friday.  We'll see how you did!
